iPhone three point ooooh
18 March 2009 13:03 PMWhen I first purchased my iPhone 3G many people ooo’d and aaaa’d over the touch screen and were generally impressed with a feature list that included Google maps, email and a web browser capable of viewing standard web pages. After a while though a few phrases became quite familiar to me, with the most common being -
“It doesn’t have MMS”.
People have said they would buy an iPhone 3G in a heartbeat – if only it had MMS. They then continue on to say that because the iPhone doesn’t “do MMS”, it is the worst phone. Ever. Full stop. Period. Well the negative Nancy crowd will have to latch on another absent feature to criticise the iPhone 3G about (may I suggest Flash, which is about as useful as MMS), as Apple has announced that MMS will be included in version 3.0 of the iPhone software.
Personally I never use MMS (or Flash for that matter) so I could care less for it’s inclusion, although I guess for those people who feel inclined to send blurry pictures of their drunken exploits on a Friday night that they’re highly unlikely to share on a sober Monday morning, then this is the announcement they’ve been waiting for.
